So a friend of mine, Ian McDonald, decided to kill himself. By hanging, I was told. You think you know somebody well enough to think that they are not the type of person to do that to themselves, but then again you can't be too sure.
I was just talking to my friend Kayla the other day about him. And then you hear something like this, a couple of days later and you wonder, did he pop up in my head for some reason or another? It's pretty creepy.
He was the kid at school who always wore the rainbow tie dyed shirt with the peace sign on it with the khaki pants. He always had on headphones listening to Zombie, or Black Sabbath, or sometimes even ICP. Anytime he would come to my locker with everyone else, i would take one of his earphones and replace it with mine. So in one ear, I would be listening to HIM and in the other ear, Zombie. And let me tell you.. they do not mix well at all.
I remember one day I was upstairs after school and Becky told me that there were a couple of guys outside for me. One time it was Stefan and Jeremiah but this time it was Stefan and Ian. Ian had on these hideous shades but he thought they were cool so, whatever. He used to call them his "G Shades". Whatever he meant by that... I guess he thought he became Gangster when he had them on. They came to ask if I could come over Stefan's but it was right after school and I had chores to catch up on. So I told them that I would be over later. When I did finally come over, Ian had to go home because of some reason or another. It sucked but I saw him that next day at school.
I also remember when there was this black kid that wanted to beat Ian up because of something that Ian said to him so Brown told Ian that the kid would not be there for some days, and for him not to worry about anything. Well... we saw the kid at school and Ian starts to freak out and wants to call his mom or something to come and pick him up but he didn't have a phone. Stefan was like, "Hey, you can use my phone but don't get it taken away." So what happens? Brown comes around the corner, we all tell Ian to put the phone down, he doesn't, Brown tells Ian to come with him, and the whole time that they are walking, Ian is still on the phone. Stefan was so pissed and called Ian a dumbass for getting his phone taken away. I laughed. Stefan did finally get his phone back like that next hour or so.
He also had this wierd way of walking. It was like a Ryan Lagesse walk but then Ian also walked on his tipi toes. In other words... he had a bounce to him when he would walk. And he always had his head all high in the air like he was smelling some good eats or something.
He had like this, "I don't care" attitude about most things. As you can see in the situation with Stefan's phone. People would talk shit about him and he would just blow it off. But if they kept saying stuff over and over again, he would just blow up and get sent to like the office or something.
One time, me and Mandy had to go to her car to get something and he was walking down the hallway. I was like, "Where are you supposed to be?" And he said that he was supposed to be on his way to the office because he got kicked out of Mr. Fair's class. And then he asked where we were going and I said that we had to go to Mandy's car for something. So he walked with us. It was cold that day and Mandy had on flip'flops. I do remember that. (She's one of them) He told Mandy that he remembered her from somewhere. I think they used to live right by each other or something and Mandy was like oh yea... that's right.
He hated it when we called him "Little Ian". Like at the beginning, he was cool with it because Ian Sherill was still there but then after Ian S dropped out, he was like, "I am the only Ian here now so stop calling me Little Ian!!" We would be like, "OK little Ian". Good times...
Well, I think I have talked WAY too much now, so I am going to go. Does anyone know when and where the funeral is? |
